Meet the staff at Howard Silver, DDS—a practice conveniently located in Pittsford that offers comprehensive dentistry in a friendly, fun and welcoming environment.

Dr. Howard Silver

Dr. Howard Silver graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1993 with a bachelor’s (BS) degree in Biology, and the State University of New York at Buffalo with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1997. In 1998, he went on to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Buffalo.

Dr. Silver is committed to perfecting his craft through ongoing education and training. He is a Pankey Institute dentist, working under the philosophy of helping patients receive the best care possible and educating patients to make appropriate choices to achieve comprehensive treatment—versus fixing teeth one tooth at a time. In addition, Dr. Silver has received continuing education at the Kois Center, an innovative training program on the latest advances in esthetic, implant and restorative dentistry.

Since purchasing the practice in 2001, Dr. Silver has continued to grow his patient base through the recommendations and referrals of satisfied patients. He considers his patient’s loyalty, referrals and each and every appointment a privilege he earns by taking good care of his patients’ smiles year after year.

In addition to working in his Pittsford practice, Dr. Silver has also worked part time as a Clinical Instructor at SUNY Buffalo School of Dentistry (1999-2005). He served as President of Rochester Dental Study Club in 2004. Dr. Silver is married with three children. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing and travel.

Becky, Treatment Coordinator

Becky has been working in the dental profession since 1977. Becky enjoys helping people and her work gives her an indescribable sense of accomplishment. She truly enjoys coming to work with Dr. Silver and the rest of the team. Becky has been with the practice since 1990 and with Dr. Silver since his first day.

Becky and her family have lived in Macedon for more than 25 years. She has two sons and is proud to announce the addition of a new granddaughter to the family, born in June 2009. In her spare time, you can find Becky bird watching or gardening at her family camp located in the Southern Tier.

Laurie, Treatment Coordinator

Laurie has been in the dental profession since 2005. Along with general dentistry, Laurie also has experience in orthodontics and oral surgery. Laurie completed the Certified Dental Assisting Program at Monroe Community College and is currently attaining her New York State license.

Tania, Dental Hygienist

Tania has been a hygienist since 1997. She has experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry. She attends continuing education classes in many areas, but Tania specially enjoys learning about new and innovative products and procedures and passing that information on to her patients. She joined the team in early 2010 and has felt at home since.

Tania and her husband live on the west side of town. She is the happy mother of two young children, a son and a daughter. When not working you can find Tania with her family at local museums, gymnastics or just having fun outdoors.

Nicole J., Registered Dental Hygienist

Nicole has been a dental hygienist for more than 12 years. She has experience in family dentistry as well as pediatric dentistry. She regularly attends continuing education courses in all areas, but enjoys educating herself in the field of periodontics. She recently became licensed in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation. She has been with Dr. Silver for almost 5 years, and thinks of her coworkers as family.

Nicole and her husband live in Williamson, with their 2 young daughters. In her spare time, you can find her at her new home that they just finished building.

Nicole S., Registered Dental Hygienist

Nicole has worked as a dental hygienist since graduating from Monroe Community College in 1994. Prior to her career in hygiene, she has worked as a dental assistant and also doing periodontal research. She has worked in many fields of dentistry, from periodontics to pediatrics. She has recently become licensed in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation. She is passionate about her career and feels very lucky to work with Dr. Silver.

Nicole has a son attending SUNY Brockport, pursuing a degree in business while also playing football for the College. She has a small horse farm between Avon and Geneseo, where she enjoys trail riding, gardening, hiking and biking.
